So, you want to upload content to the website ?
Here's how you can do it.
First, you need to know that not anyone can upload anything here.
Certain sections of the website (such as the software and games categories) are locked and reserved for verified uploaders, you'll know what that is later on.
Next, you need to know where to upload your files and how to make your post.
PirateCat doesn't host anything. But we try to provide as much links as possible, so that downloads don't expire.
For uploading, we prioritise file hosts over torrents. You'll need to provide at least 3 different file hosts in your post to have it accepted. More are of course appreciated.

If you are uploading movies, please use video streaming websites such as :
Other hosts are welcome, but if they are considered unsafe by the staff, your post will be deleted.
We recommending providing at least one link to what we consider HQ file providers (big names like Mediafire, Google Drive etc). You can create unlimited free accounts on these platforms by using temporary email adresses (ex : temp-mail.org).
URL shortners:
We aim to provide direct links, with as few ads as possible. URL shortners (like Linkvertise, ouo.io or any kind of monetized URL shortner) are not accepted and will result in your post being deleted. Please provide direct links.
Hiding content: (optional)
To hide content until someone replies to your thread, use the bb code [hide] <your content here> [/hide] between your link/content.
Uploading movies/shows:
When uploading movies or shows using your prefered file host (abyss, doodstream, uqload, mixdrop etc), please embed it to your thread using the [iframe]<embed url here>[iframe] bb code. Please provide at least 2 to 3 different hosts. Next, please make the thread as nice and tidy as possible : Example thread | Example thread BBCode. If we judge your thread too bland, we are subject to edit it. Finally, to upload movie covers and posters, please use imgbb.com or any other image hosting website.

Verified Uploaders:
To protect our members from unsafe downloads, malicious links (linkvertise etc) or viruses, some sections of the website are for Verified Uploaders only (such as the Games category or the Software category).
How do I become a verified uploader ?
Be active on the forum, post legit content on other categories, and gain the staff's trust. You'll get a direct message from an administrator or super moderator when you are elegible. These conditions are subject to change as our forum is growing.
We are subject to change/add elements to this guide. Uploaders, make sure to check this thread ever so often.
